Hectic Weekend

Here's a glimpse into our life from Friday evening through Sunday evening:  

Friday:

5:00 p.m. -- street corner in DeLand

6:00 p.m. -- nursing home ministry @ Oakwood Gardens (gentleman trusted Christ as his Savior)

7:00 p.m. -- quick bite to eat

7:30 p.m. -- headed to church:  folded bulletins for youth

8:00p.m. -- prayer meeting

9:00 p.m. -- home;  prepared for following day

Saturday:

8:30 a.m. -- went to WalMart to pick up ice and waters for the outing

9:00 a.m. -- packed coolers

9:15 a.m. -- young people began arriving

9:30 a.m. -- headed to Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, FL

10:30-1:30 -- toured the beautiful gardens, enjoying the lovely weather and gorgeous scenery

1:30 p.m. -- pigged out @ Golden Corral (usually think those are pretty gross, but it was good)

2:30 p.m. -- headed home

3:30 p.m. -- back at church, unloaded van & headed for home

4:00 p.m. -- unloaded the car, got changed to play tennis with David

4:15 or so p.m. -- old friend stopped by to give me a belated graduation gift (some great        teaching books)

5:00 p.m. -- played tennis with David 

6:15 p.m. -- showered

7:15 p.m. -- dinner with my family

8:15 p.m. -- left church for street preaching in Orlando, FL

9:15 p.m. -- arrived in Orlando

9:15-11 p.m. -- preached to thousands (one 15 year old boy trusted Christ as his Savior!)

11 p.m. -- drove home (but the time changed that night so it was really 12)

12:30 a.m. -- arrived home

Sunday

9:30 a.m. -- Sunday School

10:30 a.m. -- Morning Service

11:45 a.m. -- meeting with teens and parents

12:15 p.m. -- lunch @ a friend's house

1:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. -- youth choir practice (David sings, I play the piano)

4:00-5:00 p.m. -- ran to buy Annie's birthday present (a very cute "daughter" apron by Vera Bradley)

5:00 p.m. -- youth prayer (David went, I had to run home)

6:00 p.m. -- singing with congregation

6:15 p.m. -- missions class with the young people (taught by the Holt Family on their way to Sierra Leone) 

7:30 p.m. -- missions trip meeting

8:00 p.m. -- David took Bible school test/I went to eat with some people from church

9:00 p.m. -- David joined us @ the restaurant and visited

10:00 p.m. -- we arrived home

We are very busy, but we love every minute of it.
