Unexpected Blessing

At church on Sunday, someone came over to me and said that he had a gift for David & me. He didn't say anything else that day, but my interest was piqued. I was tempted to say, "hey, what's that surprise?" but I didn't want to be rude so I waited. Just a little while ago, he called and said that he and his wife were on their way over to give us the gift. Guess what it is! It's a weekend at a nearby bed and breakfast, along with gift certificates to two different restaurants. I couldn't believe it!

A client had given these gifts to the couple, but they were not able to use them, so they said they would really like it if we would! It works out perfectly because David's birthday is next weekend, and we are probably going to be able to go then! I called David, and he looked it up on the internet briefly, but we want to wait and look at it together when he gets home from Bible school tonight. Needless to say, I am excited!

The picture is of the actual bed & breakfast.

Update: We made our reservations! I'm officially even more excited... it's a week from Thursday night that we'll be going. We'll leave after church on Thursday and arrive back home on Saturday evening. I am counting down the days!

How wonderful!!! I'm sure you'll have a grand time no matter when you go, but it would be neat if it worked out to be for your hubby's birthday. :~)

Hello Lauren.. I am just cathing up with my blog reading. Has been a crazy week! :)

Bella almost knocked her head off with our ceiling fan yesterday.

Anyway, What a *nice* blessing for the bed and breakfast. I have been to one bed and breakfast one time. I was really nice, but there is a funny story to it. ;-)

Also, I LOVE your new blog look! I am *very* tempted to change my look, lol! But I will wait for a while with it I think.

I enjoyed reading about your snake experience, and seeing all the wonderful pictures.

Hope you get that teaching job. I would of been sooooo scared during an interview!

Have a wonderful day. :)
