Happy Lady & Cousin's Funeral

David and I just returned from visiting a woman from church who is in a nursing home.  She's probably in her mid fifties to early sixties, dying of breast cancer.  She wanted us to come by to sing hymns with her.  She's trying to select the hymns to be sung at her funeral.  It's sad to think about planning one's own funeral, but she is so peaceful.  She has confidence in her Saviour, and she knows where she is headed when she dies.  Praise the Lord for that!

On another sad note, my cousin's viewing is tomorrow and the funeral is Friday.  The autopsy showed that he died of a massive heart attack. He was only 30 years old.  They also found a tumor on his pancreas. He was very sick in general, it appears.  There will be many unsaved people at the funeral; please pray that hearts will be soft and receptive to the gospel.

My dad called my aunt, and their conversation went very well.  My aunt was talking about how much easier it would be if she knew my cousin was in heaven.  Dad was able to tell her about the times he had witnessed to my cousin; my cousin said that he was saved, just not living right. I think she was comforted after her talk with my dad.

This reminded me of sister Penny when she was dying. What a sweet lady she was and what a joy it was to see her praise God up to the end.
